Electric Wilburland is a full-service professional recording studio located in a renovated church just south of Ithaca, New York. We are about five hours' drive from New York and Toronto, and less than two hours' drive from Rochester, Syracuse, and Binghamton, New York, all of which have full-service airports.

For over 18 years, Electric Wilburland has been home to local, regional, national and international recording artists, including Martin Simpson, The Horseflies, Mamadou Diabate, Madder Rose, Donna the Buffalo, Mary Lorson and Saint Low and The Samples. Mamadou Diabate's CD, Behmanka was nominated for a Grammy in 2006.

Musicians love working at Electric Wilburland. The studio provides an expert staff skilled in the full range of professional recording services, including mastering.

The studio contains a great selection of vintage and cutting-edge recording gear, an eclectic array of amps, keyboards, and percussion stuff, a stunning collection of microphones, and a beautiful-sounding live room. For break times, we have a comfortable, sun-filled lounge and kitchen area looking over a tranquil backyard and creek, near a picturesque wooden covered bridge. There is a two bedroom apartment available for overnight accommodations.

Here at Wilburland we can help you with any part or all of the recording process. The best sounding recording are often the ones that are done here, with an experienced engineer and professional recording equipment in our great-sounding room. However, lots of folks are embracing the new recording paradigm, and doing parts of the process themselves. If you are buying a home recording system, we can save you money by helping you assemble the system that best suits your needs. If you are having trouble learning how to record at home, we can tutor you here at Wilburland or make a housecall. If you have tracks that you have recorded at home, we can mix them in a tuned room, with trained ears and an endless list of plug-ins. If your project is nearly finished but would benefit from some professional polish, we offer truly professional mastering at a surprisingly good rates.
